OK — been on this thing for maybe four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
What got me on it was honestly embarrassing — I could never work out what an each way payout actually was when the place terms changed. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. Now type the odds in before every slip, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it spits out the return straight away, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where I’d always mess it up. If you want a look, it’s here how many selections in a super heinz and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that genuinely made a difference were the more serious extras. There’s an implied probability calculator which shows you what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m covering two or three runners.
Not all sunshine though. Its layout is pretty plain — not much frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s usable although the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. And nothing on the app store, just the site — slight shame but you asked.
Anyway. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone still does the maths on paper, have a look — saves me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
July 31, 2026 at 2:03 pm #3277So — have been messing about with this thing for something like four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am based in the UK, generally do football and horses, a fiver here and there, for context.
How I found it was honestly pretty stupid — I could never figure out what an e/w return actually was when the place terms changed. Basically I’d guess and then be surprised. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator is the part I use most — you put in stake and odds and you get profit and total return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the multiples — trebles returns, a lucky 15, yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s over at betting converter odds and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
The thing that actually changed how I bet was the nerdier tools. There’s an odds-to-probability calculator that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator is handy too when I’m splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. Its layout feels pretty plain — no flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s fine though the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no app, it’s browser only — slight shame but you asked.
Anyway. Free, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If anyone still adds it up in their head, try it — it’s saved me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
July 31, 2026 at 2:04 pm #3278So — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am UK based, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.
What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I never could work out what an ew return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just guess and get a shock. Now I punch the numbers in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator is the part I’m on daily — type in your stake, the odds and you get profit and total return instantly, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at odds conversion and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that really changed how I bet was the nerdier tools. There’s an odds-to-probability converter that shows how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m spreading across selections.
Couple of gripes. The design is very functional, let’s say — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s fine but the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.
Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
July 31, 2026 at 2:04 pm #3279Right — been using this thing for something like four months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was actually a bit daft — I couldn’t ever work out what an each way payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in before I place anything, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — type in the price and your stake and it shows returns straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, which is where I always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at what is a treble bet and it’s free with no account nonsense.
What really made a difference were the geekier tools. They’ve got an odds-to-probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit for when I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. Its layout looks very functional, let’s say — zero frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s fine but the acca grid are a squeeze. There’s no app, just the site — fine by me just flagging it.
So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. Anyone who even now works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
